Overview
The Village of Melrose Park has completed its comprehensive alley reconstruction project within the 2012 calendar year. This site was intended to keep the general public informed of the status of construction, targeted especially to those residents and businesses being affected by the construction operations.
The program consists of four separate construction contracts, and was built by three different general contractors in charge of construction. Residents were notified at least 2 days in advance before each alley was scheduled to be closed for construction. The Engineer and the Project Liaison oversaw all contracts on behalf of the Village. Contracts were set up as follows:
Each of the alleys shown and numbered on the map below were scheduled for reconstruction.
Status: ALL 117 of the scheduled 117 alleys are completed, as of December 1, 2012)

- NORTH CONTRACT Area north of Division, between 25th and 14th Avenues
- EAST CONTRACT Area north of Lake/Chicago, south of Division, east of Broadway Ave.
- WEST CONTRACT Area north of Lake, south of Division, 25th to Broadway Ave.
- SOUTH CONTRACT Area south of Lake/Chicago
- CDBG CONTRACT Three (3) alleys various locations
